Woes

About a month ago, we though we had this little turkey all potty trained. (Except at night... not going there yet.)  3 weeks with ZERO accidents!  However, recently he has been wetting his pants ALL THE TIME.  We're not even talking about accidents at this point.  I realize that sometimes we're outside or something and he just can't get there in time.  But these are usually within feet of the bathroom after asking him over and over again if he needs to go.  It's starting to ruin my furniture.  And our budget, since we now do laundry more often.   I don't want to be the family with the stinky house! What do I do?  A friend of ours suggested cold showers when he wets his pants.  He hates that!  I have been doing it so we'll see what happens.
While I'm on the subject of woes- I'm starting to feel just barely pregnant.  As in, maternity clothes aren't fitting yet, but neither are my other clothes fitting very well.  Hmph.  It doesn't help that they weren't fitting all that well before I got pregnant.  There was at least the hope back then that soon I would squeeze back into them, or more acurrately, wouldn't have to squeeze at all.  Oh well, at least I still have some GORGEOUS Mother's Day roses to admire.  Richard did well in that department.
OK, all done.  Back to being cheerful.  I cut out a quilt this week.  I will take picture as I go, but right now there's not much to take pics of.  It's going to be beautiful, though!
I forgot to ever post these pics that my sister Marilla took of my cuties.  She's so good, and they are stinkin' cute, aren't they?

This just in...

Not just random refridgerator art, folks.  That is a real baby/gummy bear growing inside me.  We are excited to welcome baby #3 to our family sometime in early December.  Official due date is 11.23.12, but if anyone can learn from the past, it's me.  (Benson was 2 weeks past my due date, and even then I was induced)  I'm not planning meeting our new little one already frustrated.  (I know...that comes later. :))

We met Sue

We met Sue, the world's most in-tact T-Rex.  Honestly, Brady wasn't as impressed as I thought he'd be.  We mostly were nervous the whole time about him touching stuff.  At one point, I noticed an entire skeleton (not Sue) swaying from side to side.  Whoops.

Fortunately, they had other stuff on exhibit as well.  Like this great mountain man.  And the amazing flag below.  I truly am a sucker for flags.

They also had a great kids play/discovery area that saved us from going completely nuts.  They boys L.O.V.E.D. it and wanted to go back for more.  As long as they weren't making things sway back and forth, fine by me.
He totally can do stairs now, which is awesome.  Not these particular stairs though- they were simulated rock...
Brady, "Yee-haw!  Ride 'em, Cowboy!"
Overall, we had a great day.

Grandma and Grandpa off to (help) save the world

In March, Grandma and Grandpa Allen left for yet another mission. We were able to go down to Utah and see them before they entered the MTC in Provo.  We will miss them, but thanks to Skype, we will at least be able to keep in touch!  They are serving in Canada- Quebec Montreal Mission - doing records preservation.  We love you, Grandma and Grandpa!

Cookie Monster

OK, so now I know that the pictures I load will no longer go in the exact opposite order.  Anyway, for Benson's big day we made Cookie Monster Cupcakes (which, when they were finished, they kind of looked more like blue Kermits to me...)  No matter.  We invited a few (very few actually) friends over to celebrate, and then we stripped B down to his diaper and let him have at it. It took a little convincing at first to not just stare at the cupcake, but as you can see, he pretty much ended up eating every last crumb. In fact he sat in that high chair for about 45 min. searching for more crumbs.  Love this little guy!

All About Benson

A year in review...
My sweet baby turned ONE! I can't even believe it. He is healthy, happy, and growing like a weed. His stats: 30 1/4 in. tall, 22 lbs 14 oz
He seems like such a big kid, but I know that he's much smaller than Brady was. We'll see how things even out in a year, I guess. He got his first haircut on Feb. 13, 2012. He began scooting on his behind when he was 11 months. He waves bye-bye regularly. He gives kisses. He nods his head and gives an affirmative grunt when he means yes. There is no doubt when he means NO! He is just now getting interested in possibly crawling- I think it will happen soon. He tries to pull himself up, but since he's a scooter, his legs are usually under whatever he wants to stand up to! He's a little picky with food- hopefully we'll get over that soon. He has 8 teeth, with more on the way! He truly believes that he can stand up, and tries to do so every single time we want to sit him down. Benson is such a blessing to our family. We love having him in our home. He has a giant smile that shows lots of teeth. He is starting to cuddle more. Benson often scoots up to my legs and hugs them while I'm doing whatever- cooking, brushing my teeth, just standing around. We love him! Brady LOVES him, too! Happy birthday, Beeb! (that's what Brady calls him)

Snow in Rexburg? What?!?!

Rexburg hasn't lived up to it's reputation this winter! This past weekend we finally got enough snow to stick on the ground that we could get out and play!
Just chillin'
I had to go get the tube after letting it go down on accident. Oops!
Richard and Benson
(I think Benson's arms reach about halfway down those sleeves. It's a size 24 month!)
Someone's enjoying themselves! Doesn't Brady look like such a big boy?
All my boys together
And now for your viewing pleasure... Benson decided to try this hill all by himself. I guess he really enjoyed the tube! The funniest part was sadly not caught on video- right after we turned it off, I looked down, and he was totally face-planted in the snow! There was a little bump that he couldn't quite make it over. I felt sorry for him, but it was just so hilarious! Enjoy watching Scooter!
